Introduction of NCC at Our School
Introduction of NCC at Our School
We are delighted to announce the introduction and implementation of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) program at our Polestar Academy, a CBSE-affiliated Senior Secondary School. This significant addition marks a new chapter in our commitment to holistic student development, fostering values of discipline, leadership, and service to the nation.
The National Cadet Corps is a premier youth organization under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It aims to develop character, camaraderie, leadership, and a spirit of adventure and selfless service among young citizens. Through a structured and engaging training curriculum, NCC prepares students to become responsible and patriotic citizens of tomorrow.
The inclusion of NCC at our institution will provide students with a unique platform to gain exposure to military training, physical fitness, and various community service activities. The program is open to students from Classes 8 to 12 and will be conducted under the guidance of qualified instructors and in collaboration with the local NCC unit.
Objectives of NCC at Our School:
- To instill qualities of leadership, discipline, and team spirit among students.
- To cultivate a sense of national pride and civic responsibility.
- To provide basic training in drills, map reading, first aid, adventure activities, and social service.
- To prepare students for potential future careers in the armed forces and other leadership roles in society.
Implementation Plan:
- Enrolment for interested students has commenced and will be conducted under the supervision of the school NCC coordinator.
- Regular NCC parades and theory classes will be scheduled during school hours or designated co-curricular periods.
- Students will participate in camps, community outreach programs, and inter-school NCC events organized at the regional and national levels.
The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provide an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces. To Create a Human Resource of Organized, Trained and Motivated Youth, To Provide Leadership in all Walks of life and be Always Available for the Service of the Nation.
Parades are the institutional trainings and it is essential to complete 40 parades in a year for a NCC cadet. The time period is two hours per parade.
We firmly believe that the introduction of NCC will greatly enrich our students’ educational journey by equipping them with essential life skills and a strong foundation in service-oriented leadership.
We look forward to enthusiastic participation from our students and strong support from parents as we begin this empowering and transformative initiative.
We are proud that on 26th January, 2025 few of our pupils got selected to participate in the Republic Day parade with the Police officers in Sonari. They attended Regular practice under the guidance of our NCC trainer at the college ground with the participating police officers.
