On this day in 1950, our Constitution came into effect and India became a republic. Independence gave us freedom, but Republic Day gave us a system. A system where everyone is equal and every voice matters. Our Constitution protects our rights and also reminds us of our duties. We observed this day in high spirits and sincerest respect.
